"I heard the voice of Jesus say, "Come unto me and rest"
Celtic Communion
On the second Sunday of each month, we leave our pews behind and gather together around the Table and Altar for a calm and gentle encounter with Christ in the words of scripture and through the spiritual food of His body and blood. The service draws on material from the Iona Community, Northumbria Community, and our own CofE texts, helping us to grow in faith by contemplating Christ at work in the world around us as well as across time and space. Our singing is supported by gentle keyboard accompaniment, often using a mixture of well-loved hymns, twentieth-century songs, and simple chants from Iona and Taíze.
